- Conducted a rigorous benchmarking study of 4 distinct architectures: Naive Bayes, Random Forest, Multi-Class SVM (OVO), and Custom CNN.
- Implemented feature engineering using HOG and dimensionality reduction via PCA vs. automatic feature extraction in CNNs.
- Demonstrated that SVM (97.0%) outperformed Deep Learning (CNN 90.6%) on this dataset, highlighting the efficiency of Convex Optimization.
